BMW M3 E30 Gr.A

Few manufacturers are able to transform a modest saloon into a cult sports car and turn it, over time, into an object of desire. Appreciated and loved as few and endorsed by an impressive track record in competition, the M3 is a full stop in the particular world of the automobile.

What Paul Rosche ( BMW Motorsport Director of Technical Development) did was bring all of BMW's racing spirit to the street.

Its first appearance took place during the celebration of the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 12, 1985. A few months later, in August 1986 at the Italian Mugello circuit, it was presented to the press around the world and then began its commercialization.

That vehicle that aroused great expectation and ended up reaping countless successes, is the one that has been with us for years in each and every one of the tests in which we participate. Our units are based on series vehicles, which have undergone complete disassembly to later be built and assembled following the specifications of the Gr.A. homologation sheet.

"Its aggressive lines, still gripping 25 years after its creation, hide an indomitable spirit that has witnessed countless feats around the world." Auto Dossier

The result is a powerful, light and balanced car, but at the same time very demanding. Its naturally aspirated engine stands out, which manages to exceed 300 hp thanks mainly to the work carried out in the upper part of the engine, which allows it to reach almost 8,700 rpm. Also noteworthy is the 6v gearbox, the 4-piston brakes on both the front and rear axles and an efficient weight distribution that allows "playing" with the little more than 1,120 kg that the set weighs.

Our BMW M3 E30 Gr.A units share almost identical preparation and set-up, which allows us to accumulate a large number of kilometers each season. And we confess it to you, year after year this icon of modern motorsports captivates us more and more. The feeling of driving it is magical. But to see how all of you enjoy its passage, it is also.

Long live the M3 !
